Spring Peacock Feather Nails

So these are a cut spring nail. With a white background and pastel colors with a gold underlay and a little bit of black for definition.

Level: Easy if you have different size brushes

Items Needed:

  • Smaller brushes or a very steady hand
  • Gold, White, 5 different colors, black nail polish
  • Quick dry if you have any available
  • Clear coat
Tip:
Let your nails dry between layers of polish. It may take longer but in the long run it will help your nail polish stay on longer. I recommend at least 15 min to dry between layers. I also use Rapi Dry spray by OPI which is very helpful.

Step 1:

It's up to you if you want to start with a clear coat. I would recommend it. But after that paint a nice solid coat of white polish.

Step 2:
Using the gold polish and a smaller brush draw a line down the  middle of your nail with a circle at the end that pretty much covers the entire end of the nail. Then draw at least 3 branches off of the main gold. These can be more curvy than I made mine.

Step 3:
Once the gold has dried go over it with various different colors so just the edge is showing. Add some black on the bottom for definition.

Spring Monarch Rainbow Nails

So I saw these nails on instagram and decided to recreate them. These are actually fairly easy to do.

Tools Needed
  1. 8 Different Colors. I used pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black and white
  2. Dotting tool
  3. Extra brushes if you want.
  4. Clear polish
  5. Quick dry spray if you have any

Step 1:

Start by putting a clear polish on your nails. This will help keep the other nail polish on.

Step 2:

Start with your thumb. Put on pink nail polish and mix it together in the middle with the orange on the other half of your thumb. Then on your pointer finger put the orange. Mix it with the yellow. Then proceed to yellow and green, green and blue, and blue and purple.

Step 3:
Put the black on like this. Make sure to make the stripe along the edge nice and thick so you will have room to put the dots.
Step 4:

Add a curve at the corner in black. Then make thin stripes that still yet color show through.

 Step 5:

Add dots in white. I did it the dots in two different sizes but you can use as may as you want.
